After we liked the cleaner that we were assigned, she was no longer available for regular cleans. The replacement was nice but completely off - didn't remove wet wiping marks from furniture nor respect our cleaning instructions given that we have pets. No area was cleaned well, and not all areas were cleaned. I can't even remove myself from their booking system a year after discontinuing .... Worst cleaning experience ever!

I had booked a timeslot and a specific cleaner but received an email that I had to pick another option. I did as instructed but they were still unable to confirm my booking after a couple of days. I sent an email to cancel my booking as I didn't have anymore time to wait. Still no news about my cancellation. They have a 48-hour cancellation clause -- they'd better not charge me for a service that I no longer want due to their incompetence. Basically, as a customer I feel helpless because there's no hotline that I can call, no proper and timely email response. Very unreliable. I feel uneasy that I had given my credit card details to such a dodgy outfit. By the way, I called DomesticOne and they were prompt. There's actually a human being fronting the company.

My months of cleaning services from Helpling is a total disappointment for these reasons: 1) they only have a few companies providing services through them and thus, their pool of cleaners seem small 2) their cleaners are mostly not of good standard, in that they are sloppy in their work (don't clean well), those who worked for me are almost to the point that I can say they don't know ironing (as a result I had to reduce by 1 hour subsequently and did my own ironing); 3) they make empty promises ie. if the cleaner does not turn up for work, they will state a replacement will come in the following day but that did not occur (again due to their limited pool of cleaners); 4) the only time they got back to me quickly is after I terminated their services as I was so fed up with their inability to find a quick replacement and they got back to me telling me there is a new cleaner that accepted the job (after I terminated the services, they just ignored this fact); and 5) they charged me for a no show and don't reply to my queries on the refund (planning to cheat me of the amount?) Either way, I plan to lodge a police report on this if I don't hear from them in the next couple of days.

Able to ensure no actual money withdrawn. Customer service quite attentive and able to resolve issue.

Overall system, website etc. still remains not very user friendly.

Terrible service overall. First they promise discounts online but once you want to book - suddenly that's not there anymore. Then you request a cleaner for every 2 weeks but get charged directly for weekly cleaning ! They just charge you but there is no way to cancel anything! So they keep on charging you money but no way to cancel it - so be WARNED!! Also in FAQ it explains how to cancel - but these options are simply not there online. You can't remove your CC details either. Overall it seems not a cleaning service but money laundry scheme! Be warned of this *** service.

DO NOT USE unless you want to be pissed

Using their platform requires either a 3 month minimum commitment period or 10 cleans, both of which I have fulfilled. When I no longer required the service, I realised I could not cancel my cleans.

Wrote emails after emails and every single reply just simply states I fall short of 1 clean. I counted and re-counted umpteen times and I have already completed 10 cleans. Why am I still falling short of 1 session?

None of them bother to explain why, every reply was almost like a standard template reply.

There were at least 4 email replies that simply stated that I am short of 1 more but no one cared to explain why. I can count!

By the way, the number on this site also I called and yup, you guessed it, wrong number!

Really horrible cleaning service, the worst I’ve experienced. You can expect zero customer service from Helpling, on average of 3 working days for them to reply to your email (note they clearly don’t bother with customer emails over the weekend).

Level of cleaning is really poor, cleaners are not trained. The second time the cleaner didn’t even bother showing up, and I waited at home for 45 min. If you need to change a session, good luck with that.

It’ll take you two weeks to get some response on that. I’ve been asking for them to terminate my service with waiver of early termination fee for two weeks, and nothing is being done.

Been a regular customer for almost 2 years. The company recently implemented a service surcharge of $10 for weekend cleanings without informing existing customers beforehand.

Only realized I was charged an extra $10 when I read my invoice carefully. Even then, the $10 charge is not clearly indicated in the invoice. I had to login to my account to check what I was charged an additional $10 for. Requested to cancel all future bookings but it seems I need to cancel every single booking one by one.

Only way to contact the company is via email and the correspondent, Dharmans is useless in addressing and resolving my issues.

He kept offering to change my booking from weekends to weekdays when I had specifically told him that I do not wish to do so. Ridiculous.

I would have given zero rating if possible We had an extremely traumatic experience after our first cleaning session with Helpling. A week after the cleaning by the Helpling cleaner, we realised that two of our expensive watches (total value £2700) were missing.

The watches were always kept safely in their boxes and were difficult to even spot unless someone was in their close vicinity such as the cleaner. We also filed a police complaint but the police said that without any CCTV footage of the crime being committed they couldn't prosecute anyone. We called Helpling repeatedly for any updates on their "internal investigation" but they kept dragging the issue without any resolution offered. At this point, they also claimed that they were just matching cleaners with customers and the cleaners were NOT their employees!!

We argued that there was a similar theft incident reported in 2017 where the company had actually offered to partly compensate the customer but Helpling said it was for a different company - Hassle.com (By the way, Hassle was acquired by Helpling in 2015). The company's response to the incident throughout has been completely shabby and standoffish. We were very conveniently not informed about the fact that the company has "NO THEFT INSURANCE" when we made the first booking despite asking repeatedly about cleaner insurance. They just mentioned a liability insurance to cover damages above €350.

We have tried our best to mediate a solution with the company but they don't seem to care about the customer's loss and are looking only at their bottomline at the cost of customer trust. We would have been happy had the company at least tried to recoup a part of our loss rather than dishing out their standard legal gibberish. This has unequivocally been the worst experience we have had with any service company where they send unvetted people into our homes and wash off their hands conveniently when there is a loss of property. Bottomline: Please use Helpling at your own risk since you might get hoodwinked as we did if you end with the "wrong" cleaner.

The cleaners apparently seem to know as much about the lack of evidence/prosecution issue in such cases and the brazen ones can do the trick leaving you with a big hole in the pocket.

Do not expect HELPLING to help at all. The name is a misnomer!

probably 5th time I emailed since weekend. No reply. Last min cancellation changes. Can't even log in now. Very bad service. Even regenerate password also nothing works. Maybe want to stop me from cancelling. Terminate all the services or I will make sure I report you to CASE. Pregnant with a toddler and giving me issues. Think I am talking to the wall? Saw your bad reviews only after clicking. I have no time for your nonsense. Stop auto match me with new cleaners if they cancel. I am tired of your automated searching and useless replies. Cancel everything at no charge!
